Biography of Isaac Van Zandt : ms., 1886.

Isaac Van Zandt was born in Tennessee, 1813, and after moving to Harrison County, Texas, in 1839 was admitted to the Texas Bar. Later he served in the Texas Congress as chargé d'affaires to the United States and as a member of the Texas Constitutional Convention in 1845. He died of yellow fever in 1847 while a candidate for governor.

Isaac Van Zandt was born in Tennessee, 1813, and after removal to Harrison County, Texas, in 1839 was admitted to the Texas Bar. Van Zandt practiced law in Marshall, Texas where he settled in 1838; was a member of the Texas House of Representatives, 1840-1842; and in 1845 was a member of the convention that considered and approved the annexation of Texas to the United States.
